 Darth Krayt Expanded Universe Custom
Darth Krayt served as a Jedi Master in the waning days of the Galactic Republic. Eventually falling to the dark side and proclaiming himself Dread Lord and Dark Lord of the Sith, he took the name “Darth Krayt”. Stronox, using his skill and talent, has made this Dark Lord from the Expanded Universe with his Custom Star Wars Darth Krayt figure. What I love about customizers is that they are always trying to improve their figures and themselves. For example, here is how Stronox has modified this design:
“Darth Krayt’s shoulder pads have been modified for better positioning giving his upper arms a better range of motion, has had his waist modified so he is a bit taller, and he has also been given articulated ankles for better poseability.”
The armor on the figure is intricately designed, giving the plastic a metallic like look and feel. Another aspect of this custom that is really cool is that the helmet is removable, revealing the face of this Sith! I have seen some pretty cool mashups in my lifetime but sometimes customizers surprise me and think of unique combinations of figures and his Custom Deadpool Madalorian Star Wars Marvel blends the worlds of Marvel and Star Wars like you have never seen them before. Using two very popular figure concepts, the Deadpool figure comes through loud and clear in the color palette and the design of the helmet, which represents the mask. Underneath the helmet, you can see Mr. Wilson’s pock marked scarred face. Overall, I love the concept and it was very well executed!

Custom Star Wars 12" Furry Chewbacca Figure
The 12″ line from Sideshow Collectibles is wildly successful but sometimes customizers out do the professionals and Mattman1968′s Custom Star Wars 12″ Furry Chewbacca is one of those figures that is nicely executed and very well done! What a great idea to add fur to the Chewbacca figure and it makes him look so realistic. What is a Wookie without fur anyway? The way that the fur is applied makes the figure look like a costume and if you did not know the scale of the figure, it is easy to fooled by this figure. In the picture below, you can also see that Chewbacca is nicely scaled to fit with the Sideshow line.

Cyborg Darth Maul Custom Clone Wars Figure
Straight from the Brother’s episode of Star Wars the Clone Wars comes Thinkinink1972′s Custom Cyborg Darth Maul figure. I was excited about the reintroduction of Darth Maul into the Star Wars Clone Wars universe but I was not sure what to think after I saw the episode. I actually felt sorry Maul as he looked so pathetic and nothing like his former self as seen in Star Wars Episode 1, The Phantom Menace. That feeling of sorry carries over to this figure as Thinkinink1972 has done a tremendous job capturing the cartoon version of the Cyborg Darth Maul and his spider’like self. The limbs were fabricated from wire and clay and allow for a range of articulation. Recreating the mechanical spider legs and abdomen demonstrates Thinkinink197′s creativity as well as skill as he has mastered fusing metal and plastic together to create a great work of art and a Star Wars figure you will definitely not be seeing in the stores! I really like the way the metal weaves around the legs and throughout the torso, creating the effect of many intricate parts making up the walking mechanisms that Maul scrounged from the galactic dump. There are many more photos over at Thinkinink1972′s eBay listing so go check out his amazing Custom Cyborg Darth Maul figure.

Star Wars Old Republic Custom Female Bounty Hunter
There is not enough Star Wars to go around for my lifetime or any fan’s lifetime I am sure of that! The movies are one thing but the story lines of the video games, books, and the television shows really bring the Star Wars universe to life. Customizers, like Katosuki, bring the on screen video game persona’s to life and his latest Star Wars Old Republic Custom Marvel Legends Female Bounty Hunter is a testament to that. This figure is not in your typical 3 3/4″ scale but a 6″ figure more in keeping with the Marvel Legends scale figures. I provided a comparison shot in the photo above and as you can see, the figure that was created did a great job at capturing the overall look and feel of the figure while taking some liberties with the design – as customizers should! The Bounty Hunter definitely looks ready for action so if you want to check out more photos, head over to Katosuki’s Star Wars Old Republic Custom Marvel Legends Female Bounty Hunter as he has some great shots of the figure!

Shadow Airborne Trooper Custom Star Wars Arc Trooper
Tonight (technically 12:01 am on Friday) marks the re-release of Star Wars Episode 1 so I thought I would feature a Star Wars Custom in honor of the movie premier. Tonight, Mastercloner has a Custom Shadow Airborne Trooper up this week that also doubles as an ARC Trooper. When I first saw this custom, I thought it might be a repaint of an Airborne Trooper from the ROTS line but as I dug deeper and investigated, it turns out that Mastercloner casts his own helmets, which are designed to pop on and off and fit perfectly on the bodies. I don’t think Hasbro has produced a solid cast Airborne Trooper head so this may be the first. I thought the Shadow Airborne Trooper was a great idea because the figure lends itself to more stealth action.

Darth Malgus Custom Marvel Legends Star Wars Figure
Darth Malgus is one of my favorite of the Sith Lords and Katosuki has captured his likeness with his Custom Marvel Legends Scale Darth Malgus figure. The painting and sculpting technique used to make this figure give it a rough and raw edge. The texture of the armor and the sculpting on the face give Malgus that battle hardened look. I typically like a soft cape to wrap the figure but the hard plastic cape featured here gives the cloak a flowing look that adds personality to the figure. Katosuki also has other custom Sith Lords this week so make sure after you have checked out his Custom Marvel Legends Scale Darth Malgus figure, go see what other surprises he has in store for you by viewing his other customs for sale.

Less than 5 hours away until this Custom Star Wars Old Republic Darth Malgus figure goes away forever (or until the next lucky soul puts it on eBay again). I must admit that I broke down and bought the complete Star Wars Saga on Blu Ray so I am back into the fantasy from the Galaxy far far away… I told myself that I would not buy them but I succumbed to the dark side. At any rate, this Darth Malgus custom is cool on several levels. First, it is not a toy that Hasbro will produce any time soon (or ever). Second, I really like how the face was designed as the figure looks like it has been through hell during the Great Galactic War. I love the pits and craters in the head and face as it reminds me of how Darth Vader looked when Luke removed his mask. The customizer did the video game character justice!

If you remember the brief moment of fame that Coleman Trebor experienced in the Attack of the Clones Star Wars Episode 2 movie, you may recall that he was the Jedi that was blown away by Jango Fett. Falling to his death below in the Geonosis Arena is no way for a Jedi to go! Immortalizing this brave Jedi is Christo7108′s Custom Lego Star Wars Coleman Trebor minifig. Given the odd shape of Trebor’s head, Christo did a great job capturing the detail, which is much more elaborate than the stock Lego heads that some of the figures come with. Custom Star Wars Republic Gunship
To commemorate the Star Wars Saga launching on Blu Ray in a couple days, I thought I would select my favorite custom in the Star Wars category. Capturing the magic and fantasy of the Star Wars Universe, myaprilsky has done an amazing job taking a model to the next level with his Custom Star Wars Light Up Republic Star Destroyer. Using the Revell model kit, this Star Destroyer contains LED’s and fiber optics to achieve the special effects only seen in the movies. Using cutting edge technology, the base was made from scratch using Laser cutting machines and a 3D printer. The placement of the lights looks like it is a fully functioning Star Destroyer making its way through the galaxy. The custom base compliments the model so well as the lights and effects play so well off of each other!

Super Scale Custom AT AT Walker
Ever wonder what life would if Hasbro scaled the vehicles to the size of the figures? With Michael Fright’s imagination and ingenuity, you can get a glimpse into a Star Wars universe that is the right size for the figures. This Custom AT AT Walker is just one example of Michael’s craftsmanship. If you notice at the bottom of the photo, you will see small figures at the base of the feet of the AT AT Walker but these are actual 3 3/4 inch scale figures, which goes to show you how large this AT AT really is. Standing at 4 feet tall, this AT AT is how Star Wars vehicles should have been made!

Along with the scale being grandiose, the detail inside the AT AT is not spared. The photo above is a shot of the inside of the cockpit and there is plenty of room for figures in this amazing Custom AT AT Walker.

Emperor's Throne Room Star Wars Custom Dio
You have to admit that it takes a lot of imagination to recreate the Star Wars universe as the toy line lacks play sets to recreate your favorite Star Wars moments and scenes but this is where appspot comes in and he has created on of the greatest scenes from the Star Wars movies with his Custom Emperor’s Throne Room Diorama from the Return of the Jedi movie. I have been a fan of appspot’s dioramas ever since I came across his Custom Tantive Attack Diorama back on February of 2008. The diorama scales nicely with the figures as the dio is roomy enough to house Royal Guards, The Emperor, Luke, and Darth Vader. A wider shot reveals the scale of the diorama (see below). Measuring over 2 feet deep, this Throne Room is constructed of foam and wood and based on appspot’s other Dioramas, it is of the utmost quality and craftsmanship. I can still remember the first time I got a glimpse of the Throne Room in the movie theater in 1986 watching Return of the Jedi and now you can relive this great scene by owning appspot’s Custom Emperor’s Throne Room Diorama and making it your own!

 Custom Steampunk Jango Fett
Sillof’s Workshop has taken the Star Wars universe to the Victorian era with his Custom Steampunk Jango Fett 6″ Star Wars figure. There are several aspects of the this figure that worth noting. First, the leg, forearm, and shoulder armor are intricately sculpted and the design fits very well with the Steampunk era. Second, I really like the sculpt for the helmet and the way the sides curve in, giving it depth and making it more interesting to look at. The riveting on the armor completes the look of this awesome Custom Steampunk Jango Fett 6″ Star Wars figure.

Custom Cast Star Wars Heads for Sideshow Figures
Every now and then I like to feature some unique and one of kind customs and this week, D.B.’s Custom Cast Star Wars Heads caught my eye. The detail in the cast and head sculpt is spot on to the Star Wars figures that appear in the movies. Only the heads are for sale but this gives up and coming customizers a canvas to work with. Sometimes people need some help in the head sculpt department and this is where D.B comes in. Here is another look at another finished head:

Imperial AT-AT Walker and Snow Speeder Custom
The Star Wars vehicles that come off the shelf are pretty boring and bland with respect detail and paint schemes. Luckily there are people like Area Nifty One Customs and they have created a Custom AT-AT Imperial Walker and Snowspeeder that looks like it was pulled right from the Empire Strikes Back movie. You can hear and feel the AT AT bearing down on you and it is the realism that this custom portrays that puts me in the Battle of Hoth. The carbon scoring and gritty detailing is what makes this custom so great. The scoring also gives the vehicles some dept, which makes more look more realistic and less plastic than what they formerly looked like. If you have tromped through the snow before, you can imagine how dirty you get and this is the war torn effect that Area Nifty-One has achieved with the set of these two vehicles.

 Tonnika Sisters Star Wars Custom
The Star Wars line is known for creating the most obscure characters that might have graced the silver screen for at most a few seconds and JackofTradze is perpetuating this stereotype with his set of two Custom Star Wars Tonnika Sisters, as they appeared in the Mos Eisley Cantina in Star Wars A New Hope. I feel like the jingle for a Double Mint commercial should be playing in everyone’s head when they see these figures but I digress. For the completists out there who need every Star Wars figure that appeared in the movies, this set is a must have. Overall, the figures resemble the on screen characters fairly well. One area that would be hard to replicate is the hair given the on screen characters have their head wrapped up in tiny little braids. Overall, JackofTradze did a great job adding two new characters to the Star Wars line up with an updated look.

 Mandalorian Commando Imrae Kel
I am always impressed with one of a kind outside of the box customs that continue or add to a toy line. Mythic Custom’s gives the figures an updated look with respect to the armor and a more militaristic feel. Along with creating some killer figures, he even came up with some stellar names that would make George Lucas proud!

Savage Opress Star Wars Custom Figure
In the latest installment of the Clone Wars Animated series, a new Darth Maul’like character was introduced. Of the same lineage as Darth Maul, the new character was dubbed Savage Opress. He was implanted as a sleeper agent with the intention of killing Tyranus, a vehicle for Ventress’ desire for vengeance after she had failed Count Dooku for the last time. Opress was donated to Tyranus as a new apprentice, under the guise of being a complimentary gift from Mother Talzin, the leader of the Nightsisters. JackOfTradze brings this new character to life with his Custom Star Wars Savage Opress figure. It is very cool to see another being like Darth Maul and this figure adapts the Clone Wars version and turns it into a classic Star Wars figure. With the signature long horns that adorn the head of of Opress, JackofTradze did a great job capturing the look and feel of the animated character.

Commander Jet Custom Lego Star Wars Minifig
Who can ever get enough clone variations? Given that the Star Wars movies from the late 70′s and 80′s introduced us to the Stormtrooper, Biker Scouts, Snowtroopers, and Royal Guards, it was a breath of fresh air to see so many clone variations with the newer Star Wars movies and the animated series. Friendliang is adding to your clone army ranks with this Custom Lego Star Wars Commander Jet minifig. Decked out in the orange, red, and yellow deco from the animated series, this Commander Jet minifig also comes with a cloth kama and pauldron. Commander Jet’s helmet is different from the rest of the clones, with a pentagonal shape attached to each side, giving him that distinctive look.

 Custom Medieval Boba Fett
The Medieval times, or Middle Ages, was a period of European history from the 5th century to the 15th century, roughly between the years 400 and 1500. Continuing with his period pieces, Pack Rat Studios created a stellar Custom Star Wars Medieval Boba Fett figure, which rounds out his line of classic era figures. When I was a kid, I remember visiting a tourist attraction in San Fransisco called the Medieval Torture Chamber, which was one of this wax museums close to Pier 39. They had a whole bunch of crazy devices in there from nail racks to other various and sundry devices to inflict pain. This Medieval Boba Fett figure reminds me of that visit to the torture chamber how the armor is done with the spikes protruding from the boots, shoulders, and helmet.
 Medieval Boba Fett Armor
Looking at the way the armor was made, it keeps with the styling of the period where knights roamed the land and justice was used to ward off the threat from the Barbarians. Mixing the classic Boba Fett Star Wars armor and the armor from the period really meshes well together and once again, Pack Rat Studios has done a superb job with this Custom Star Wars Medieval Boba Fett figure.

 Steampunk Boba Fett Custom
Imagining a time where blasters and lightsabers were weapons of the future, PackRatStudios has created a very cool concept using one of the most classic Star Wars figures with his Custom Steampunk Boba Fett figure. Using a weathered copper look and feel, rivets and the power of steam to power his jet pack and weapons, the figure design keeps with the Steampunk era. My favorite parts of this custom are the weapons and backpack.
 Streampunk Boba Fett Weapons
The rifle is a cool concept as you can imagine the bullet getting pushed out by a burst of steam, as well as the jet pack as Boba Fett rockets off to his next Bounty Hunting adventure. To view more photos and to place a bid on PackRatStudios’ Custom Steampunk Boba Fett figure, head over to eBay.

World War 2 Boba Fett Custom
This week, Pack Rat Studios has created some period pieces that are truly outstanding his latest World War 2 Custom Boba Fett figure is no exception. For those who don’t know, I am a World War 2 history fiend so I was so excited to see one the classic Star Wars characters in 1940′s garb. I love the direction Pack Rat Studios took with this figure as he successfully combined two very different worlds into one figure that melds the two back into one. For example, the uniform looks like it was pulled straight from the pages of history with the flared collared jacket with the two chevrons on the shoulder. I like that the only piece of armor Fett is wearing is on his head, like a real soldier of the 40′s.
 World War 2 Boba Fett
Giving Boba a Rocketeer look, the jet pack looks like it was assembled using the era style bombs and missiles. His helmet is removable and if you want to see what is underneath that metal head, check out more photos of Pack Rat Studios’ World War 2 Custom Boba Fett figure.

Clone Commander Jet Clone Wars Custom
Based on the Clone Wars animated series comes DefiantYogi’s Custom Star Wars Clone Wars Clone Commander Jet figure. I love the Clone Wars series as it is a great way to expand the Star Wars universe without the overhead of making a live action movie. Dubbed “CC-1993, nicknamed “Jet,” was a clone of the Mandalorian bounty hunter Jango Fett. Grown and raised on the planet Kamino, Jet served in the Grand Army of the Republic as a clone trooper commander during the Clone Wars. He participated in the Second Battle of Geonosis, serving under the command of Jedi General Ki-Adi-Mundi.”
 Clone Commander Jet Custom Figure
It was very creative how DefiantYogi created the helmet and head for Jet: “Custom cut earphones attached to the right and left sides of helmet. Custom cut decorative hexagon attached to middle of helmet, just above visor. Helmet fin shaved off to make dome smooth. Custom cast resin Captain Rex Head painted bald and with battle scars on both sides of face.” To see more photos of this great figure and to place a bid so you can add him to your collection, head over to eBay and check out this awesome Custom Star Wars Clone Wars Clone Commander Jet figure.

Darth Malgus The Old Republic Custom
According to the Star Wars Old Republic Wiki, “Darth Malgus, born Veradun, is a male Sith Lord in service of the Sith Empire. During the Great Galactic War he earned the rank of “Darth” and led a Sith invasion on the Core World of Alderaan. His attempt failed and he was defeated by a female Jedi. Because of his injuries in this battle he was forced to wear a special mask. Later in the year 0 BTC he led the Sith attack on the Jedi temple. He was managed to enter the Jedi Temple and kill Ven Zallow.”
JackOfTradze does and excellent job at creating figures that are lesser known or simply do not exist at all. His Darth Malgus Star Wars The Old Republic Custom figure is an great example of how he can take a figure from concept art and create a figure you would die to have in your collection.
Darth Malgus The Old Republic Custom
I really love the overall look of the breathing apparatus attached to the face of the figure as it brings back the feeling of and the sounds of listening to Darth Vader for the first time. The costume design looks like it is right from the game. To own this awesome Malgus Star Wars The Old Republic Custom figure, head over to eBay!

Bringing the Star Wars Visionaries art to life is StitchFett with his Custom 14″ Cyborg Darth Maul figure. The machine parts to the this figure are very well made and remind me of General Grievous from the waste down. The cyborg parts are painted to look like metal and are flawlessly integrated into Maul’s torso. The rising spike from the head are also well done and look exactly like the concept art. If you are not familiar with Darth Maul, Star Wars Visionaries is a 2005 collection of 11 stories written and drawn by concept artists who worked on the film Star Wars Episode III, Revenge of the Sith. Here is a comparison photo of the concept art and the custom figure:

 Quinlan Vos Star Wars Custom
Inspired by the comics, JackofTradze has created this very cool Custom Star Wars Quinlan Vos figure. Many of the Star Wars figures produced by Hasbro lack the flesh detailing that JackofTradze focused on to give the figure a grimy look, like he was climbing through the forests and jungles of Kashyyyk. The necklace and hair detailing complete the look and give this Jedi Master personality. I also dig the 5 O’clock shadow! If you want to own a figure straight out of the comics from a talented customizer, head over to eBay and check out JackofTradze’s Custom Star Wars Quinlan Vos figure.
 Quinlan Vos Star Wars Custom
For those who are unfamiliar with the character, according to Wookipedia, “Quinlan Vos was a Kiffar Jedi Master in the Jedi Order and a General in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. He hailed from the planet Kiffu in the Inner Rim Territories. With long, dread-locked hair and a band of pale yellow across his upper face, Vos was gifted with psychometric powers which allowed him to “read memories” from inanimate objects through physical contact.”

 Jedi Master Dooku
Before there was Count Dooku, there was Jedi Master Dooku and Jackoftradze has created this figure based on the comic likeness. I really like his shading technique for this figure, which makes it look like Dooku is wearing real leather. It is this technique that separates the great from the good customs. Using Christopher Lee’s Dooku figure as the head, he has created a much younger looking figure to portray his journey before the dark side. To own this figure, head over to eBay and check out Jackoftradze’s Custom Star Wars Jedi Master Dooku figure.

The ARF Troopers are specialized clone troopers that carry out short-range reconnaissance for Jedi Generals and Clone Commanders. Ric.Sea.Jedi has captured the look and feel of these clones from the “Landing at Point Rain episode of the Clone Wars Animated Series with his Custom ARF Trooper figure. The ARF Troopers are one of my favorite styles of clones as they remind me of the BARC Troopers and the Biker Scouts. The camo on this figure is blended very well and here is your chance to own one of the clones that was just in an episode. Not only is this figure not being produced, Stocos28 got the idea for the figure from the Old Republic trailer. My favorite part of this figure is the breathing apparatus is it is reminiscent of Darth Vader himself. Who knows what this figure will be called but rest assured you can own it today by heading over to eBay and checking out this Custom Sith Lord figure.

Cad Bane made his appearance in the Clone Wars animated series and boy was he a force to reckon with. Ruthless and fearless, jackoftradze has brought him to life with his Custom Clone Wars Cad Bane figure. This figure really captures the look of Cad Bane and I love the accessories and guns that were made for the figure. The hat and soft goods really complete the figure and he chose a great shade of blue for the face and hands. From the episode, Rising Malevolence, Ironhide44 has created this Custom Clone Wars Boost figure, another awesome clone to add to your collection. Using his artistic skill, he has crafted deco in such a way that captures the look and feel of the character in the series. Let’s hear more about how he made this great clone:
“I used a clean armor Captain Rex for a starting point. I used the arms, lower legs, and utility belt from a Space Trooper clone. Boost’s head is custom molded with his Commander Gree hair style. The helmet is a custom molded “shell” of the newer 212th orange clone. The graphics on the helmet are done by hand. Painted as close as possible to the animated Boost using high quality acrylic paints. Sealed with clear flat acrylic. His armor is of the dirty variety. I drilled out the end of his blaster for a more realistic look.”

Ironhide44 keeps the clones coming with his latest Custom Clone Wars Animated Sergeant Sinker figure. This has to be one of my favorite figures from Ironhide 44 to date because of the detail on this one. The shoulder and helmet deco are very nicely done. Here is some more detail on how this custom was made from the source:
“I used a clean armor Captain Rex for a starting point. I used the arms, lower legs, and utility belt from a Space Trooper clone. Sinker’s head is custom molded with his unique hair style. The helmet is a custom molded “shell” of the newer 212th orange clone. The graphics on the helmet are done by hand. Painted as close as possible to the animated Sinker using high quality acrylic paints. Sealed with clear flat acrylic. His armor is of the dirty variety. I drilled out the end of his blaster for a more realistic look.”

Tags: Clone Wars Animated, Clone Wars Animated Customs, Custom Star Wars, Denal, Star Wars

I just came across another excellent Clone Wars custom. This time, mdrhody brings us his Custom Clone Wars Sergeant Denal from the ‘Duel of the Droids’ episode. This figure is another excellent example of customizers taking charge and giving fans what they want…more clones!!! For those not familiar with Denal, here is some info I found on him from Wookieepedia:
“Denal was one of the most experienced clone troopers in the elite 501st Legion, having survived many Clone Wars campaigns alongside Captain Rex and Jedi General Anakin Skywalker. At the start of the war, Denal saw action on Rodia, Tatooine and Orto Plutonia, conducting many missions on those planets. He rescued a battalion of clone troopers from a Separatist ambush, recovered a lost Republic cargo, and helped a Jedi in distress defeat a force of battle droids. On one occasion, he even saved General Skywalker’s Padawan Ahsoka Tano from a Separatist prison on Tatooine. Denal was also involved in the discovery and destruction of a new Confederacy superweapon—one that could prevent Republic radar from detecting enemy armies. Later in the war, Denal accompanied Rex, Skywalker, and Tano on a mission to destroy a Separatist listening post, which they successfully completed. Of the five-man squad of clones that was sent there along with the Jedi, only he and Rex survived the mission.”
This figure is a great representation of Denal from the Animated series so head over to eBay and place a bid!

Ironhide44 has come out with another great addition to his line of Clone Wars customs with his Custom Clone Wars Chopper figure from ‘The Hidden Enemy’ episode. This was a great episode where Chopper was believed to be the traitor but it was actually Slick, another clone who knew of the Jedi’s secret plans. This figure is a great representation of Chopper as he appeared in the series. Let’s read more about this great figure:
“I used a clean armor Captain Rex for a starting point. I used the arms and utility belt from a standard issue clean armor clone. The helmet is a custom molded “shell” of the newer 212th orange clone. Painted as close as possible to the animated Chopper using high quality acrylic paints. Sealed with clear flat acrylic. His armor is of the dirty variety. Custom made droid fingers are mounted on a thin gauge black wire. I also carved out the scars on Chopper’s head. His left eye is brown and his right eye is pale yellow. You get Chopper, his helmet, Droid finger necklace, and his blaster.”

One aspect of the Star Wars universe is that we got to see the evolution in armor from the Clone Wars to Revenge of the Sith and daveSstation Creations has a great looking Custom Clone Wars Animated Shock Trooper to feast your eyes on this week. Yesterday, I wrote an article about his Custom Order 66 AT TE so this figure would be a perfect addition to your collection if you were to bid on that or just add another great figure to your collection. The markings on the Shock Trooper are well done and the color is perfect to fit in with the ROTS Troopers. daveSstation Creations has really filled a void in the Animated Clone Wars line so head over to eBay and place a bid on his Custom Clone Wars Animated Shock Trooper figure.

daveSstation Creations is back with another awesome AT TE with his Custom Order 66 Mustafar AT TE. He already has a Kashyyk and a Snow version and this is my favorite one to date! First, the Shock Troopers are my favorite of the clones that I was introduced to in Revenge of the Sith and what a way to honor them by giving them a custom ride. The colors are perfect for this AT TE as this would blend in with the terrain of the lava planet. No detail was spared in this AT TE! I love the Mandalorian logos all over the vehicle he chose the perfect shade of red for this one. Rounding out this awesome custom is an Animated Clone Wars figure decked out in Shock Trooper detail:

Ironhide44 is back with another excellent Star Wars figure with his Custom Commander Stone Clone Wars figure. I am surprised by the lack of clones produced to date for the Clone Wars animated series given that the series is focusing on CLONES! We don’t need more R2-D2′s or C3PO’s, we need more Clones and lucky for us that there are talented customizers like Ironhide44 to answer the call. Let’s read more about this great figure:
“I used a clean armor Captain Rex for a starting point. I used the arms and utility belt from a standard issue clean armor clone. On the arms are custom made decals of the Republic Senate seal. The holsters are custom molded plastic parts glued to the legs. The helmet is a custom molded “shell” of the newer 212th orange clone. Painted as close as possible to the animated Commander Stone using high quality acrylic paints. Sealed with clear flat acrylic. His armor is of the dirty variety.”

As Mel Brooks said in the movie, The History of the World Part 1, “it is good to the King!” and for a Captain in the Clone Wars, this equates to getting your own rig modeled after your body armor. I was excited when I first got my hands on the AT TE and daveSstation Creation has taken it to the next level with his Custom Clone Wars Captain Rex AT TE snow vehicle. I am very impressed with the attention to detail and the craftsmanship that he put into this AT TE. First of all, I am a huge military historian and I am very please to see the “decals including some skulls along cab representing missions and a couple others custom decals on rear panels straight…representing assault and heavy artillery.” The old style deco of the tanks from the armored divisions and the planes from the navy made sure to decorate their vehicles and planes with their respective core markings and this AT TE, in my opinion, is a great homage to that era.

The paint aps looks flawless and I am sure this baby looks amazing in person. It is great to see such creativity grace the AT TE and daveSstation Creation has done a stellar job imagining the world where this behemoth of a vehicle fits into the Clone Wars universe. To view more photos and to place a bid on this bad boy, head over to eBay and check out his Custom Clone Wars Captain Rex AT TE snow vehicle.

MasterCloner brings Waxer to life, the persnickety Clone who was more interested in busting ‘klankers’ than the collateral damage of the invasion. His Custom Clone Wars Waxer figure displays a very heavy battle damaged look. The helmet reflects the hash marks on the side, reminiscent of wars where pilots would mark their kills on the side of their planes or soldiers would mark theirs on their helmets. The head is nicely done and looks just like the animated version from the series. To view more photos, head over to eBay!

I echo Ironhide44′s thoughts when he said that Waxer and Boil are the most interesting Clones from the series so far. The characters demonstrated compassion, leadership, and skill on the battlefield and Ironhide44′s Custom Waxer and Boil figures are an awesome addition to your Clone Wars collection. I guarantee that these figures will not see the light of day for a long time from Hasbro so be sure to bulk up your Clone collection with figures you will never find in the store. It was only on the second time watching the episode where I noticed the different helmets and Ironhide44 has captured their unique elements from the small upside down triangle on Boil’s helment to ‘Klanka’ count tick marks on Waxer’s helmet. Ironhide44 is an excellent Clone Wars customizer so head over to eBay and check out his Custom Waxer and Boil figures.

Based on his brief appearance in Star Wars Episode 3, Ironhide44 brings us his interpretation of this infamous clone with his Custom Commander Neyo in Clone Wars Animated style. This figure was very well done and no detail was spared. The helmet was custom sculpted and it looks like a very believable precursor to the next gen armor that we saw in the Revenge of theSith movie. The figure also sports a custom made sash with integrated shoulder armor and home made armor symbol decals. I am very pleased with the Clone Wars animated series and I am happy that customizers are making excellent additions to the line. aeseven7 brings us his interpretation of this infamous clone commanders phase 1 uniform with his Custom Clone Wars Animated Commander Bacara figure. Bacara made a name for himself in the Revenge of the Sith movie by slaying Ki Adi Mundi on the Mygeeto Bridge but before that, this clone, along with all of the others, went through an armor change. I really like this interpretation as it resembles the ROTS Bacara and retains the feel.

It is always cool to know how the clones evolved into the leaders we saw in Revenge of the Sith. One thing that is great about a television series is that you can get to know the characters more in depth than a movie and Lilenobi’s Custom Clone Wars Commander Gree captures the animated series likeness before he dons the Kashyyyk armor. Lilenobi did an excellent job translating the animated series Commander Gree into this custom, especially with the hair. One of my favorite clones from Revenge of the Sith were the Utupau Clone Troopers and Ironhide’s Custom Clone Wars Bomb Squad Trooper reminds me of those troops. These types of clones appeared in the episode, ‘The Blue Shadow Virus,’ and I was happy to see the return of the orange deco. Ironhide44 has done a great job making the dirty armor version of these troops and he even added the patch that is seen in the concept art for the figure. The patch is an interesting concept and it reminds of the patches that the Armored Division soldiers wore in World War 2. If you want to own a unique custom clone trooper you will never find in the stores, head over to eBay and check out Ironhide44′s Custom Clone Wars Bomb Squad Trooper figure.

Tags: Clone Wars, Clone Wars Animated Customs, Jek, Lieutenant Thire, Rys, Star Wars

Recreating one of the best Clone Wars episodes to date, Ironhide44 brings us his Custom Clone Wars Ambush Battle Pack featuring Lieutenant Thire and Clone Troopers Rys and Jek. One of the great things about the Clone Wars series is we get to know the clones better and see their personality, which really did not come through in the Attack of the Clones movie. most of the episode’s I have seen so far center around camaraderie of the troops and their leaders and Ironhide44 does an excellent job capturing that aspect with his customs. It also looks like he pays very close attention to detail and he even hand mixed the paint to get the right maroon color. Let’s get some detail from Ironhide44 on what went into creating this Battle Pack:
Lt. Thire is the leader. He has electrobinoculars on his helmet that can rotate. The electrobinoculars are custom made using plastic resin poured into a mold I made. He is a StarWarsShop.com exclusive Senate Security clone with a standard issue clone trooper helmet. The holsters for the pistols are custom made from molded plastic and were glued to the leg armor. The Pauldron and blaster pistols are from a Captain Rex figure. Thire was painted using high quality acrylic paints. I was maticulous about matching the maroon color and custom mixed it myself. He will come with two blaster pistols and a blaster rifle.
Clone Trooper Jek made that line a part of Star Wars lore in “Ambush”. Jek is a standard issue Senate Security clone and a one man army. Jek carries a Z-6 rotary blaster cannon, dual blaster pistols (from a Captain Rex figure), a bandoleer, and a missile launcher. The holsters, Z-6 rotary cannon, bandoleer, and missile launcher are all custom molded in plastic made by myself. The holsters are glued to the leg armor. They are proportioned as close as I could judge to the actual animated versions. The cannon has a rotating handle (in Jek’s left hand). The missile launcher has a flexible shoulder strap. The bandoleer is flexible also and painted to match the animated style.
Clone Trooper Rys is a standard issue un-modified Senate Security clone with a blaster and backpack. The backpack is a modified version of Asoka’s. It has a longer strap setup. The straps are a custom molded piece that I made. I weathered the pack to match the weathered look of Rys.

Continuing with catching up on Lilenobi’s Custom Clone Wars Animated figures, his latest is Commander Fil as seen on Episode 10, the Lair of Grievous. He did a great job recreating the extravagant deco that Commander Fil’s uniform adorns. I love the way the helmet is designed and I wish, for the future, that the figures will see a surge in Clones and Commanders in the stores. He also has a Custom Clone Pilot Hawk this week so check out Lilenobi’s seller page each week to see what he has in store for you.

Once again, Lilenobi brings us the future commander of the Shock Troopers with his Custom Clone Wars Animated Lietenant Thire figure. Kicking off the first episode of the series, Thire demonstrated why he has what it takes to lead a large battalion. The battle damage and the deep red markings on the uniform pay a great homage to the clone leader. While sadly this clone is not for sale anymore, I still wanted to capture it as very few are customizing the animated clones like Lilenobi.

Lilenobi is your hook up for Clone Wars Animated customs and in my daily search for great customs, I came accross some that I missed last week so I am playing catch up. We saw Commander Bly briefly in the Revenge of the Sith but it is great to get to know him pre Order 66 in the Clone Wars Animated series. Lilenobi’s Custom Commander Bly caught my eye as he is one of the few customizers out there immortalizing the Clones that make the series a blockbuster. Before I write about Lilenobi’s Custom Clone Wars Clone Pilot Hawk figure, I have to say that the way he set up his listing reminds me of the Clone Firefighter Pilot ad where it said that figures that spend a few seconds on screen get immortalized in action figure. Although Clone Pilot Hawk did only spend a whopping 3 seconds on screen in the Clone Wars Animated Series, Lilenobi has done a great job capturing him in a figure. The deco reminds me of the 101st Airborne with the Hawks painting on the sides of his helmet. I was pleasantly surprised by the new deco when I saw the cartoon and I was very happy to see this custom up on eBay!

Obscure Alloy makes one of a kind custom sculptures from recycled metal and I am completely impressed with their work. Take their Custom Metal Boba Fett figure, which is a work of art and stands a towering 17″ tall. In high school, I took auto shop and we had to weld for the class and I must tell you that it takes some mad skills to weld and work with metal. One my favorite parts of this custom are the small gears (or cogs) that were used under the arm sockets. I am sure that they could have used other parts but the gear is the perfect part for this figure and it is that attention to detail that makes each figure stand out. They also did an excellent job on the helmet and the overall look and feel of the Bounty hunter. I had the opportunity to check out their website and all of their work is amazing. They have other pieces on eBay right now so when you are finished placing a bid on this Custom Metal Boba Fett figure, go check out their other customs.

The paint aps on this figure are a great translation from the episode, even down to the tattoo on his head. A few days ago I featured a Custom 12″ Commander Bacara from a collector who needs to trim down his collection and this Custom 12″ Commander Appo is coming from that same person. The 501st Legion of Clones were an ominous site as they decended on the Jedi Temple to carry out Order 66 in the Revenge of the Sith movie. This custom portays Commander Appo in the aftermath with his dirty armor and carbon scoring. One very subtle difference in other 12″clones from Medicom is that this custom has a greenish tint on the helmet, along the lines of Commander Gree from the Battle of Kashyyyk. There are only 7 hours left to nab this one so head over to eBay and place a bid on this Custom 12″ Commander Appo figure.

One apsect of collecting that is tragic is when people need to trim down thier collection, which brings us to this Custom 12″ Commander Bacara Sideshow figure. Bacara only appeared in the Revenge of the Sith movie for a few seconds, but it was enough to make a lasting impression. While stationed on Mygeeto, Bacara was given Order 66 by Palpatine and, along with his fellow Marines, gunned down Jedi Master Ki-Adi-Mundi. This figure features a modified helmet sculpt, interchangeable helmet/clone head sculpt, Pauldron, real cloth Kama, and Blaster. This figure will compliment your Sideshow or Medicom collection. Fusing two great toy lines together, DarthLeon brings to life a Star Wars figure from the Force Unleashed video game with his Custom Starkillerfigure. There are some great aspects of this figure that deserve special note. First, the paint aps and sculpting makes this figure very life like, especially the way the face is angled. The use of soft goods is a nice touch and gives the figure a more realistic appearance. To tell you more about this, DarthLeon explains below
“He is styled after the STAR WARS UNLEASHED VIDEO GAME and he also appears in the SOUL CALIBER game as well. Starkiller is the apprentice of Darth Vader. The outfit is mostly fabric and he comes with a lightsaber. I used many references to get the details just right. He has been sculpted and painted with many shades of color to give it a more realistic and model appearance, yet retaining his articulation.”

Lord Scythican makes some much needed adjustments to his version of this Crimson Empire legend with his Custom Star Wars Miniature Carnor Jax figure. What fascinates me about this custom is that it is an amalgamation of 4 other miniatures. These figures are small as it is but it takes a keen eye to know what will look great together once you start the surgical process. As for the adjustment I alluded to earlier, I will let him tell the story of this one:
“This custom is Carnor Jax, as the Dark Lord of the Sith. I have made a few personal changes to this character after playing The Force Unleashed. First off, almost all of the royal guards and shadow guards in the game had lightsaber pikes. I checked back on Carnor Jax and seen that his original concept art had him with a double-bladed lightsaber. I decided to make Carnor Jax have a double-bladed lightsaber as well. I know that in the comics he weilds a virboblade, but honestly I believe that if the creators of the comic could go back and redo the art they would feature Carnor Jax with a lightsaber instead of a vibroblade. You have to think about the time when Crimson Empire was written. It was right before Episode I, and I believe that George didn’t want to feature doublebladed lightsabers in the comics, especially comics that were released right before Episode I. (Crimson Empire was released in 1997-1998). So anyways here you go, Carnor Jax pieced carefully together from parts of four different miniatures.”
It is great that fans have a Star Wars Miniatures customizer on their side because Lord Scythican knows what they want and he knows how to do them well. To view more photos or to place a bid on his Custom Star Wars Miniature Carnor Jax figure, head over to eBay!

Lord Scythican, a very talented Star Wars customizer, has put his energy and skill in making very small but extremely detailed Miniature Figures. His Custom Star Wars Miniature Darth Traya, a figure from the Knights of the Old Republic 2, is surrounded by 3 levitating lightsabers, a very cool effect and sets the figure off very nicely. Working with miniature figures takes a steady hand and Lord Scythican takes much pride in his work and it shows! Let’s hear more from the source about what inspired this great figure:
First off this is Darth Traya from Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. I made her using a Very Rare miniature Kreia, who is actually the same character. I have spoken to a lot of people who loved Kreia as a character, but thought it was weird that she had a Double Bladed Lightsaber. At first I thought about just removing one of the blades, then I thought, why not repaint her and make her look like Darth Traya, (which is what the fans wanted anyway). Then I decided why not make this interesting and put her on a custom bade that is modeling after the most difficult fight in the game. So there you have it, I took a Very Rare miniature and made her way cooler than anyone thought possible. In addition, I have not glued the Very Rare Kreia base to the custom base. It is removable as seen in the second picture. I have cut a hole in the center of the custom base with the three Levitating Lightsabers that is used to place the original mini in. It fits snug and will not fall out.
I will be keeping my eye out for more from Lord Scythican and I want to thank him for introducing me to the world of Star Wars Miniatures. To own this one of a kind Custom Star Wars Miniature Darth Traya, head over to eBay and place a bid!

This Custom Star Wars Mygeeto Bridge diorama, you get to relive the battle in 3 3/4 inch scale. Measuring 31″x18″x14″, the bridge is highly detailed and complete with carbon scoring. This is the first time I have come across a custom that has combined both the worlds of Star Wars and GI Joe but I think the Snake Eyes figure captures both aspects of the two universes nicely. I like the way the Jedi browns are combined with the Snake Eye’s classic black suit. The figure comes with a nice assortment of weapons to kick either Sith or Cobra’s butt and they compliment the figure in a great way. For example, the hilt of the lightsaber, which is made out of metal, attaches maginettically to SE’s belt. Who doesn’t have room for one of these on thier belts? Let’s read more about this great custom Jedi-Style:
This custom is made from several different figure lines features full articulation, highly detailed and realistic paint work, a real metal Lightsaber hilt that atattches to a real magnet set into the figures belt and will include your choice of either blue, green or purple Lightsaber blade, the sword is custom painted and is removable from the sheath, this figure also has added pouches, removable over-shoulder sword sheath, chest armor, functioning holster with 9mm pistol and carries 2 silenced MP5′s.

Vintage Scum has a very cool twist on one of my favorite Star Wars vehicles with his Custom Star Wars Imperial Tie Fighter. One of the aspects I really like about this custom is the wing design. The wing have an aerodynamic flair to them with the flat pieces in the middle of craft. The cockpit is very different as it protrudes from the front but it still retains the classic imperial look and feel of all of the classic Star Wars vehicles. This is why I made this website! It is talented customizers that keep their imagination flowing, which keeps me writing and writing. Let’s hear how Vintage Scum describes this one of a kind vehicle:
“Here we have a custom tie fighter for the 3 3/4 scale. The tie fighter has been painted and weathered to give it a “battle worn” look. Acrylic model paints were used with a finishing dull coat. The entry/exit hatch is one piece. The custom tie pilot is also included. He is articulate only at the neck, shoulders, waist and upper thighs (again made from figs of the potf2 line). His blastech e-11 is included but not shown in the pix. The 4 round torpedo magazine below the canopy can be removed if desired. The flaps on the magazine open and close. The stand is also included. The tie is built pretty sturdy and may be handled just be careful if you place the pilots hands on the steering mechanism.”
Bid on Vintage Scum’s Custom Star Wars Imperial Tie Fighter today and add this vehicle to you Empire!

Mastercloner brings us his interpretation of the mysterious Darth Plagueis the wise! This is an excellent piece and it gives a face to this icon in the Star Wars universe. Mastercloner gives us more information about this illusive dark lord of the Sith:
“Darth Plagueis was a Sith Lord who, according to legend, had discovered a way to manipulate midi-chlorians to prevent death and create life. However, his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Although it is never officially stated in the cinematic release of Revenge of the Sith that Plagueis was Darth Sidious’ master, the official Star Wars Databank characterizes him as such. This information is included in the film’s novelization, in which Sidious says, “Darth Plagueis was my master… before I killed him.” It is also mentioned in the Star Wars novels Labyrinth of Evil and Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader. “The Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise”, as related by Palpatine, is the only example of in-universe literature contained within the six Star Wars films.”

appspot brings to life one of the most memorable scenes in movie history with his Custom Star Wars Tantive Attack Diorama. When I first saw this dio, I actually thought he just took a snapshot from the Star Wars movie and posted a dio. I am really impressed by the craftsmanship and the attention to detail of this diorama. Here is some more details about this great diorama:
“I created this piece two years ago – it’s still in good condition – only used for display. The decal white and foam board white does not match as i wanted it to. The set is in 3 pieces, main hallway, side alcove, and entrance – combined together it measures 23 inches long 16 inches wide 8 inches high. The Tantive scene is made of foam board, foam sheets, custom decals.”

rurisk is best in class when it comes to Lego mini figs and his Custom Lego Star Wars Captain Fordo is no exception. Clone Captain Fordo was made with custom decals, pauldron, kama and painted helmet and is armed with a custom blaster. If you want to learn more about Captain Fordo in the Star Wars Universe, please read below.
Captain Fordo and his squad were instrumental in the attack on Muunilinst, infiltrating the city and disabling a massive artillery cannon, even after their LAAT/i was shot down. As the bulk of the Republic forces took advantage of this to breach the city, he aided Jedi General Obi-Wan Kenobi in a surgical strike on the enemy headquarters, leading to the capture and surrender of key members of the InterGalactic Banking Clan leadership, including Chairman San Hill. Shortly thereafter, Fordo helped defeat the formidable bounty hunter Durge, despite being injured in the fight.

The Lego customizers never cease to amaze with their talents and what they can make out of little tiny bricks. mightymightybadger is no exception with his Custom Lego Star Wars Rancor Monster that is sure to put fear in any unsuspecting Jedi thrown into the pit. Here is a little more information on what went into this beast:
“The custom Rancor monster is constructed from over 250 brand new and good condition used parts selected specifically for this model. Designed to faithfully replicate the Star Wars ‘original’ with its appearance, this huge Rancor model is minifigure scale and is nearly 180mm high (in its normal crouched position). The Rancor monster benefits from a fully articulated body – shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, even the ankles are all moveable and this provides a huge variety of poses for display and also playability. The model also has a working jaw complete with toothy maw, just ready to chomp down on an unsuspecting victim. The monster comes complete with his keeper ‘Malakili’ so you can easily re-enact the scene from The Return of the Jedi.”

The Star Wars Medicom line has been lacking in their production of Clone Troopers of late so this is where talented customizers come in and deliver what fans want! This Custom Star Wars Utapau Clone Trooper Medicom figure is no exception. This flavor of Clone Trooper happens to be one of my all time favorites from Revenge of the Sith and the paint job looks impeccable on this one. This Clone looks like he has just come back from battle and the Jango Fett head is a nice surprise as the 3 3/4″ Star Wars line has been making Clones with removable helmets for some time now. karatekid gives us a little more detail on how he made this great Clone:

“This clone is made from a Medicom RAH 12″ clone trooper. He has been repainted to resemble one of the Utapau clones from Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith. The figure was airbrushed and weathered by myself. The paint applications and weathering are very well applied and very clean looking. The figure is fully poseable and articulated just as any Medicom clone is. Given the fact that the figure has been painted, there may be a likelyhood of paint chipping so handle with care. The figure comes with a weathered/ repainted Hasbro rifle. He also comes with interchangable Jango Fett head and helmet. The Jango Fett head is a repainted Hasbro Electronic 12″ Jango head. In addition to the repaint and interchangable heads I have included the additional ammo pouches and detonator pack on the back of the clone.”

mightyhutt is at it again, building his heart out one Lego brick at a time with his Custom Invisible Hand Lego Star Wars Starship as seen in the Revenge of the Sith movie. If you remember, this was General Grieous’ Starship and it is really amazing to see this represented in Legos. This great piece is over 2 feet long and one of the coolest parts of this custom is that he designed the ship to pull apart in the middle, as seen in the movie as Anikan takes this baby in for a smooth (err) landing. It is really amazing how he was able to recreate this Starship in Legos and is a testament to his skill as a Lego Master. mightyhutt gives us some more information so please read on below:
“This is a huge all-Lego custom model of General Grievous’ ship The Invisible Hand, as seen at the start of Star Wars Episode 3 Revenge of the Sith. This is the biggest custom model I have ever made, the model consists of 1128 parts, most are new with some used but in good condition. I have tried hard to build the model to the correct proportions and have added a lot of detail. It is approximately 70cm long (27.5 inches) (that’s the same length as Lego’s Blockade Runner), 14cm wide (5.5 inches), and 36cm tall (14 inches) when stood on the stands. Due to its size, I have included a CD containing over 200 categorised digital photos, detailing all aspects of the ship’s construction inside and out. This will help in restoring any pieces that have come off during transit, and should enable you to re-build the entire model should you wish to build other models from it, and then re-build it in the future. I have designed the ship to pull apart in the middle at about the point where the ship breaks in two in the movie (remember, the front half crash lands on Coruscant).”

stenhunter brings us this amazing Custom Star Wars MK IV Heavy Tank (AT-HT) and special Clone Tank Commander “Hel’am” to drive this behemoth. Coming up with his own Star Wars Custom vehicle, stenhunter takes you into his Star Wars Universe. I do not come across many fan made creations that are made well and run with a totally new concept. This vehicle and figure was a real treat to come across as this custom was very well thought out and executed. One thing that is missing in the Star Wars universe are terrain vehicles and tanks. It is interesting that this tank was made without treads but as stenhunter points out, not many Star Wars vehicles have treads so he is staying true to the design specs. I think it was a great idea to ditch the treads and make this custom blend more with the Star Wars vehicles in the movies and the toys. The paint aps are done really well and it looks like stenhunter takes great care when designing and creating his customs, a quality that you look for when buying them. It is customs like these that take toy design to the next level. Speaking of design specs, here is a rundown of what stenhunter’s Heavy Tank offers:
MK IV Heavy Speeder Tank (AT-HT)
Specifications: Combat Assault Tank
Manufacturer: Rothana Heavy Engineering
Top Speed: 75 kph
Twin Radiant 4000RL Repulser lift engines
Weight: 44 short tons·
15mm Anti-blast reactive composite armor
Dual high energy deflector shields
Crew: Four
Main Armament:
120mm smoothbore laser cannon
Secondary Armament:· Anti-Air Concussion Missile System (AACMS)
40mm Anti-vehicle blaster
Twin 20mm forward firing laser cannon
12.7mm Anti-personal blaster
15mm side mounted laser cannon
History:
The MK IV is one of the main battle tanks of the Grand Army of the Republic. In service since the initial deployment of the Grand Army on Geonosis. The AT-HT was designed to be extremely maneuverable, moderately armored and heavily armed. During the Battle of Geonosis the tank saw heavy combat and distinguished itself as a versatile weapons platform.
stenhunter also provides us with some insight on how he created this awesome Star Wars vehicle:
“So my AT-HT started out as a “Corps” tracked tank. I found it at Wal-Mart and was surprised to find out it was relatively inexpensive. As you can see the tank was your standard green plastic with really no extra detail outside of some venting and some minor rivets. After adding dozens of tiny styrene squares and plating, and making some resin pours from an old imperial shuttle the tank slowly begins to transform into something cool. The final step was deciding on the “engines” I didn’t want to use treads again because tracked vehicles are almost non-existent in the SW galaxy. So I found two used cans of AXE spray I had and embellished them some. I think the final pieces came out great. Finally working out a color scheme for the Trooper had me for a few days. What color, where would the color go, and how much was too much? I mocked up a few pictures and decided on the green. I think in the end it came out rather well.”
This Custom Star Wars MK IV Heavy Tank, along with the Custom Tank Commander, is available on eBay so place a bid on this one of a kind Star Wars vehicle that you will never see mass produced (unless George Lucas reads this blog and takes idea!).

Straight from the pages of Star Wars Expanded Universe comes stocos28′s version of Darth Talon, a female Sith who you would not want to run into in a dark alley. The crimson skin of this custom is a nice shade and matches photo quite nicely! The tattoos look carefully placed and although they are not a direct translation, they look awesome and compliment the figure nicely. It is great when customizers deviate from what they see and make the figure their own so this is a welcome change. I like the Sith waist robe on the figure as it gives her a much classier look than a simple a bikini.
All in all, this Custom Darth Talon is a great looking figure and should get some big bucks on eBay, where you can still find it and place a bid!

More about Darth Talon (Source: Wookiepedia)
Darth Talon was a Sith Lord in Darth Krayt’s new Sith Order c. 137 ABY. A female Lethan Twi’lek, she had red and black Sith tattoos covering her body, head, and lekku, which she had earned in ritual combat. She was trained by a fellow Twi’lek Sith named Darth Ruyn, whom she later killed on Krayt’s command with a swift decapitating strike of her lightsaber. Talon was a third-generation Sith, raised on the ancient Sith burial world of Korriban to serve as the second of Darth Krayt’s two Hands, Darth Nihl being the other. Thus, she had no idea of what life was like outside the order and had no purpose to her existence other than to serve as the executor of Krayt’s will. A test of her loyalty came early when Krayt ordered Talon to kill her instructor, Darth Ruyn, who had just presented her to Krayt for final evaluation. Talon responded without hesitation. Darth Talon was cold and dispassionate, and followed the commands of Darth Krayt without question or hesitation, as shown when she decapitated Darth Ruyn. She was unmerciful like most Sith, keeping Elke Vetter alive only for the amount of time needed to extract the location of Marasiah Fel from the grievously wounded Imperial Knight. Darth Talon, like almost all Sith, was armed with a single crimson-bladed lightsaber. It was elongated and notched with crisscrossing grooves. The hilt was constructed of a material that physically did not appear to be metal, and instead resembled a sort of rock.

Joe’s Custom Creations, a customizer who specializes in Star Wars Legos and sets, brings us this Custom Lego Star Wars Rebel Assault Shuttle and comes with 6 custom Rebel Commando Elite Soldiers. This one of a kind masterpiece was created using 100% LEGO. It is 90% faithful to the original 7166 and 7264 Imperial Shuttle designs but it has been modified with missiles under the wings and an expanded cargo space in the back (for more troops and equipment to fit). 95% of the lego used in its creation is NEW LEGO – never played with! 5% of the lego is used but in very good condition! Here are more details and photos of this cool custom Lego Star Wars creation:

Defeat the Empire with this custom masterpiece from Joe’s Custom Creations! Ever wonder how the Rebels can defend against the military might of the Empire? Well one way is to use small Special Forces units to infiltrate Imperial Defenses and sabotage the shield generators to make it easier for the main attacking force to take out the Imperial Base. It needs ships that can bring these special ground forces in where they are needed. But this ship is no unarmored civilian shuttle, it is a powerful air to air or air to ground weapon that will help give your Rebel forces that extra edge against Imperial forces. This ship brings a squad of heavily armed REBEL COMMANDOS to the action! But that’s not all, it brings one heck of a lot of firepower and is a tough ship. Its like a tank in space, able to take many direct hits and still complete the mission! Equipped with missiles (see picture, you get two cannons under the wings that really fire – official lego cannons with two large rubber tipped darts) and a host of lasers as well as a custom Attack Sled that FITS IN THE SHUTTLE. This ship will help your Rebel Alliance Army to dominate anything in the air or on the ground!

The missiles in this set, plus the jet pack trooper and vehicle that fits in the back really make this great for interactive play. Shoot those imperials out of the sky or land and launch a ground offensive, this is a great set! What you get:
- 6 minifigures! Specially created for this set by my lego workshop
- 4 Normal Rebel Commandos – all with custom Blaster Rifles
- 1 Custom Shuttle Pilot – with headset detail on face, special black helmet w/ goggles and custom Blaster Pistol
- 1 Rebel Officer / Lieutenant – this is the shuttle commander and also comes with his custom blaster
There is not much time left to make this one your own as there as 11 hours left since posting this place your bid now and secure this cool piece for your Lego collection!

Still A Brick Ahead brings us several Custom Lego Star Wars mini figs this week. With amazing detail, he has created a couple figures that I would like to spotlight today!
Commander Gree
One of the aspects that makes this custom mini fig stand out is the paint aps on the helmet. The greens and silvers are right on and very closely resemble the Commander Gree found in the Star Wars Revenge of the Sith movie. The armor is is also custom made and as Still A Brick Ahead states in his auction, “the armour is made with custom decals and the helmet is painted with the green and silver pattern. Comes with a custom blaster.” This would make a great addition to anyone’s custom lego mini fig collection and clone army! What is a Kashyyyk army without a commander? Commander Gree, designation 1004, led the Elite Corps stationed on Kashyyyk during the Clone Wars. He served under General Yoda, commanding troops that employed specialized equipment for combat in the jungle environment. Gree himself wore camouflaged armor to better blend into the verdant surroundings.
Mandalorian Warrior
Another mini fig to highlight is his custom Mandalorian Warrior. This one definately looks like it would be part of a mercanary group Jango Fett is heading up. As the auction states, the Mandalorian Warrior comes with custom armor decals and matching painted helmet with jetpack and a custom. For those not familiar with Mandalorians (called Mando’ade in Mando’a, meaning “children of Mandalore”), they were a warlike, nomadic group of clan-based people consisting of members from multiple species. Often, they served as mercenaries. In later years Mandalorian Warriors wore very distinctive battle helmets with T-shaped visors that covered the entirety of their faces, which would provide inspiration for the helmets of the clone troopers. These helmets would eventually become strongly associated with the Mandalorian people (source: Wookipedia).

This Star Wars inspired Custom Republic Gunship brings the battles to life in the Lego Universe. This custom features highly detailed construction and the vehicle itself sports a low profile compared to the original release of the Gunship. By integrating the large cannons into the wings, the Gunship does not look as top heavy and adds a nice, streamlined look to the vehicle. The wings are also angled much lower, creating the illusion of an x-wing with its ability to move its S-Foils in and out of position. Due to its low profile, I would go as far as classifying this as stealth given the abrupt angle of the wings and cockpit features. huetoys goes on in further detail:
“This is a very special creation because it has been modified to carry up to 24+ mini figures. I love the original Lego Republic Gunship, the Imperial Shuttle, the Imperial Landing Craft and the Trade Federation MTT and thus decided to combine some of their ideas into one. This MOC republic gunship has a very detailed troop compartment that opens from the back. There is a sliding plate similar to the imperial shuttle that slides out revealing seating and standing area for 14 mini figures. Additional mini figures can be place on both sides of the ship as well as in the cockpit and side turret guns. A lot time and effort has been dedicated to this modified original creation. Everything from the design, construction, color scheme, interior/exterior design/detail fits very well. My intent was to design something that looks great as a display but can and will handle normal Lego play (no crashing or dropping please!). This is your chance to truly build your army and carry them as well!”

The new Star Wars movies, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, reinvigorated fans and gave us a reason to hit the toys stores again. With Hasbro producing gaggles of clones, the hunt was on for Army Building enthusiasts. Attack of the Clones introduced us to the origins of the Stormtroopers and Regenge of the Sith opened the door wide open for customizers to create their own special forces armies.
jbronson713 brings us his Star Wars Heavy Gunner Custom Clone Trooper. This custom is unlike anything I have seen before. Here are some details about this Heavy Gunner:

- Totally original repaint scheme, protected with multiple coats of varnish
- Unique helmet repaint with flip-down scope
- Custom crafted shoulder Pauldron with layered shoulder armor
- Custom crafted removable plasma pack with conduit tubing for plasma delivery
- New knee pads and right hip holster for tactical pistol
- Gatling Mini-Gun with Dura- and Transpari- Steel Shielding
- Custom crafted layered Tactical Display, which hooks into the pack on his back
- Pulse Rifle
- Tactical Pistol
The Heavy Gunner’s bio is as follows:
Dextyrr Dextyrr set to life in search of bigger game. His stint with the
Army of the Republic was destined by birth, being born of the cloning vats
on Kamino, but his rigorous training and discipline could not wipe from
his mind the lust for bringing down the mammoth creatures from his dreams.
Somehow, Dextyrr had inherited “memories” embedded in the genetic coding
he received from his progenitor – Jango Fett. It seems that Fett had had many
brushes with large beasts during his tenure as a bounty hunter.

Dextyrr, caught by his desire to hunt, elected to train specifically with ‘the
big guns’ – the only tools he imagined could stand a chance of dropping 12 tons
of charging flesh and bone. His resultant skills proved useful to the Army in
many battles.

Pain, death and vengeance have been constants in Aurra Sing’s life. Had she benefited from a better upbringing, perhaps she may have grown to be one of the greatest of the Jedi order. Instead, she became one its deadliest scourges.
cutomikey brings to life this Expanded Universe Bounty Hunter with life-like detail! As one of his prize custom pieces, he goes on to explain in more detail about how he brought Aurra to life:
“Aurra Sing, the first bounty hunter seen in the chronological Star Wars, from Episode I: The Phantom Menace. Seen briefly during the podrace, she has since developed into one of the most interesting characters in the Star Wars universe, developing a feared reputation as a devoted Jedi Killer. One might suppose that General Grievous’s propensity for collecting the lightsabers of fallen Jedi was inspired by Aurra’s example.
I made her from parts using the Hasbro Masterpiece figure and also a Sideshow figure chosen for it’s excellent resemblance to the actress who portrayed Aurra in the film. She is painted in acrylics, with an eye for realism and detail. Her eyes look alive! Her costume and weapons were all weathered in acrylics for realism. Her antenna and the D-rings that hold the strap to her rifle are real metal. The barrels of her pistols have been drilled and her fingers have been seperated so she can slip them into the triggers. She has no problems holding any of her weapons. Thanks to the well-designed Sideshow body, she also has no trouble holding a variety of poses.”
The weapon details initially caught my attention. The rifle and guns look like they have been through hell and back and the scale compliments the figure nicely. As you look closer, the way that her eyes have been detailed really make this custom come alive. Eyes are one of those details that if you get wrong, can throw off the entire look you were going for. The eyes, in this case, draw you in, which I am sure Aurra wants you to do so she can lay a world of Bounty Hunter hurt on you.
Compared to the Aurra Sing image from the Star Wars databank (shown above), customikey has truly done justice to her representation in the Star Wars Universe. Back in December 2005, there was a charity auction for a one of a kind Lego custom from an actual LEGO Master Builder, Erik Varszegi. This gigantic piece, which had to be crated like a motorcycle for shipping, contained the following:
- A framed certificate of authenticity that was signed by George Lucas and the Master Builder
- Stem to stern the model is 97 inches 47 inches wide and was created using over 35,000 pieces
- The model was built around a steel armature that runs down the spine of the ship and includes a rolling display frame
- The model scale is 1:466 and took over 450 hours to build
I was in awe when I saw this back in 2005 and I have never wanted a Lego piece more than this one. So after over 60 bids and $36,000 later, this wonderful piece of Star Wars Lego history went to the high bidder and all of the proceeds went to Habitat for Humanity. This Attack Cruiser is long gone but you can find more Lego Customs on my website in the Custom Lego section of ActionFigureCustoms.com or head directly to eBay.
