The Gunships in the Star Wars Universe are my favorite vehicles and most of the vehicles are pretty generic so it is great to see how creative customizers can get. Take Jaf1970's Kashyyyk Republic Gunship, for example! With Legos, you have the freedom to create any style you want and I think it is cool that we can imagine a Gunship styled after the famous battle for Kashyyyk. The colors of the bricks blend very well with that world. My favorite part of this custom is the World War 2 style deco of the arm ripping off a head of a battle droid. To see more photos, check out Jaf1970's Custom Lego Star Wars Kashyyyk Republic Gunship on eBay!
Worth its weight in gold? This Custom Gold Plated Lego Star Wars C-3PO is! 24K gold to exact. When I first saw this minifig I said to myself, "Wow...someone did a really nice gold color plating on this figure," but as I dug a little deeper, I discovered that the gold is real and it was plated by a very sophisticated process, which is outline below:
"This minifigure was chrome plated using Real 24k Gold. This minifigure is made with genuine Lego Plastic parts that have been Chrome Plated using a Vacuum Metalization Process (which vaporizes Aluminum and 24k GOLD to create the chrome plating effect). The Torso is made with a High quality water slide decal seal. It is clear coated to provide great wear protection for play or display."
This color gold brings out the movie like appearance C-3PO had and is even better looking than the 14K Gold C-3PO that Lego produced back in 2007. To see more photos of this Custom Gold Plated Lego Star Wars C-3PO, head over to eBay!
A little color can go a long way. Growing up with the original Star Wars trilogy, the cruisers, tie fighters, and star ships were pretty bland and gray. Don't get me wrong, the vehicles in the Star Wars universe are classic but when the prequels came out, they started to introduce some subtle color. The Republic Cruisers added a nice cranberry red and it brought the vehicles to the next level, which is what MyAmazinValues has done to this 5000+ piece Custom Lego Star Wars Millennium Falcon #10179. Replacing the few red bricks of color with a few shades of blue in the right places really gives this Lego Star Wars behemoth pop! Let me know your thoughts by posting a comment!
Legos may be small but people can make some mighty customs with them and Menges76 has found a way to improve upon the design of one of the galaxies most menacing ships with his Custom Lego Star Wars Slave 1 vehicle. Here is how he did it:
"Designed from set 6209. The base has been lengthened and widened. The top is removable in two sections to access a computer and gauge monitoring station and weapons station. An ion cannon and rocket rack deploy from doors that open on the sides of the hull. The floor for the upper deck is removable and reveals a large cargo area and prisoner hold. Boba Fett can sit in the pilot's seat with his jet pack on. The cockpit is highly detailed with multiple computer screens and gauges. The wings turn independently and turn when ship is in its flying position."
Check out more detailed images of his Custom Lego Star Wars Slave 1 vehicle over at his auction page!
If you remember the brief moment of fame that Coleman Trebor experienced in the Attack of the Clones Star Wars Episode 2 movie, you may recall that he was the Jedi that was blown away by Jango Fett. Falling to his death below in the Geonosis Arena is no way for a Jedi to go! Immortalizing this brave Jedi is Christo7108's Custom Lego Star Wars Coleman Trebor minifig. Given the odd shape of Trebor's head, Christo did a great job capturing the detail, which is much more elaborate than the stock Lego heads that some of the figures come with. Add this one of a kind Custom Lego Star Wars Coleman Trebor minifig to your collection today!
Imagination and Star Wars go hand in hand and HueyToys is adding to the Clone Army's capabilities to mount offensives against the Separatist forces with his Custom Lego Star Wars Clone Dropship vehicle. This vehicle looks like it was produced by Lego and fits right in with the design of the Star Wars vehicles. This compact design looks like a it is an unassuming transport but in actuality the ship can hold 15 minifigs! The black hatch doors look like they would be able to fend off any laser attack. I can't tell from the photos but it would be great if the sides lowered down so that the troops could easily make their way out of the dropship. Imagine a fleet of 100 dropships landing to attack, like modern day Higgins boats that were used for the Normandy invasions of France and the Pacific Island campaigns in WWII!
Christo provides an answer to age of old question "what does a Stormtrooper do on his day off" with his Custom Lego Star Wars Beach Stormtrooper minifig. In all seriousness, Christo makes really awesome Custom Lego Star Wars minifigs and I am happy to see that he lets his hair down and has fun with them once and a while. The Beach Stormtrooper struck me on a personal level as I saw my first vacation Stormtrooper at Comic Con 2010, which was a dude in Stormtrooper armor with a Hawaiian shirt and shorts. My son took a picture with him and this figure reminds me of that trip.
Introduced in Season 3 of Star Wars The Clone Wars animated series, Ingencorp has created this very cool Custom Lego Star Wars Savage Opress minifig. It was great to see the origins of Darth Maul and this minifig has captured the on screen appearance of Savage very well. The apoxie used to sculpt the horns and the outfit that Opress was seen in is a great addition to the figure. The horns are in scale with the minifig as the animated series appearance Opress' had very large scale horns compared to the head. Top the figure off with a custom double bladed lightsaber and this Dathomiri Zabrak, who lived as a member of the Nightbrother clan on Dathomir, is ready for action.
Who can ever get enough clone variations? Given that the Star Wars movies from the late 70's and 80's introduced us to the Stormtrooper, Biker Scouts, Snowtroopers, and Royal Guards, it was a breath of fresh air to see so many clone variations with the newer Star Wars movies and the animated series. Friendliang is adding to your clone army ranks with this Custom Lego Star Wars Commander Jet minifig. Decked out in the orange, red, and yellow deco from the animated series, this Commander Jet minifig also comes with a cloth kama and pauldron. Commander Jet's helmet is different from the rest of the clones, with a pentagonal shape attached to each side, giving him that distinctive look.
In Star Wars minifig style, venom113jp has created this cool Clone Wars character with his Lego Star Wars Pre Vizsla Clone Wars Custom minifig. Modeling the figure after the Clone Wars animated series, this figure will make a great addition to your Lego Minifig collection. Pre Vizsla was a Mandalorian from the planet Mandalore, who lived during the Clone Wars. By around 22 BBY, Vizsla had become the leader of the Death Watch splinter group in opposition to the pacifist Duchess Satine Kryze and her peaceful New Mandalorian organization's rule over Mandalore, a government that Vizsla believed dishonored the Mandalorians' generations-old warrior traditions.
Order 66 was the Darth Sidious' final solution to the Jedi Order and BrickBuildersPro has created some killer Custom Lego Star Wars Clone Trooper Assassins, painted up as an homage to some very popular Dark Lords of the Sith. Here is the story behind these figure:
"Months after Order 66, force sensitive clones are recruited to hunt down any remaining Jedi. A prelude to the shadow trooper, these deadly assassins paint there armor in terrifying colors to honor their dark master's legacy: Maul, Nihilus and Vader"
I love the concept of Clones working for Sith's and painting themselves up in their honor. The three figures and base also looks like a mini diorama with the skulls and lightsabers of fallen Jedi at their feet. To place a bid on BrickBuildersPro's Custom Lego Star Wars Clone Trooper Assassins, head over to eBay!
I have come to the conclusion that you can pretty much make anything out of Legos. This Custom Lego Star Wars Hoth diorama is case in point! The person who made this even went so far as to create the illusion of ripples in the snow from the high winds that blow on the icy planet. If that was not enough, there is even more to look at in the base itself. Here is a peak into the Rebel base:
Looking at this makes me want to buy about 100,000 Lego bricks and get to building! Although this diorama is not for sale on eBay, you can get all of your supplies to create this Custom Lego Star Wars dio their
The great thing about Legos is that you can create almost anything out of these little bricks and Jaf1970 has built this Custom Lego Star Wars Rebel Hoth Base using over 900 Lego bricks. The assault and Hoth is one of the greatest battle scenes in the Star Wars trilogy and now your Rebel minifigs can set up shop in their secret location on the ice planet. One thing that is cool about this base is the access to the rooms that Jaf has built in using retractable ceilings, which gives a lot of playability to the Lego set:
In addition to the base, the set comes with 5 figures and instructions on CD-R with over 160 individual images to take you through the creation process step by step. To view more photos of this one of a kind Custom Lego Star Wars Rebel Hoth Base, head over to eBay!
Granted the Star Wars prequels have undergone much scrutiny but one cool thing about them was that they began to tell the story of the origins of some of the main characters in the last 3 chapters of the Star Wars saga. This week, Rurisk has a father and son combination with his Custom Lego Star Wars Jango and Boba Fett minifigs. This is a cool combination because you see the evolution of Boba Fett and if you remember anything from the Attack of the Clones movie, Boba will look like Jango when he is grown up although we never see his face in the last 3 chapters of the Star Wars movies. Come to think of it, Boba Fett had very little screen time but achieved rock star status in the collector community. I like the way that Rurisk has added facial stubble to Jango's face and also gave Boba a slight smirk, giving the figures a slightly different look. I also like the way that the backpack and helmet are one piece, which makes the backpack stay in one place:
One of my favorite figures in the prequel series are the Snowtroopers and Cloneworks1 has made a minifig version of the Lego Star Wars Clone Wars Captain Rex in Snowtrooper gear. It is cool to see the evolution of the Clone Armor and this is just one more example. The figure is simple yet effective. The one thing that I wished it had was a Kama to keep poor Captain Rex warm.
We first were introduced to the concept of the spiritual form a Jedi takes when they pass on when Obi-Wan Kenobi sacrificed himself so he could help Luke, when Yoda passed away from old age, and when Darth Vader was set aflame in a funeral pyre at the end of Return of the Jedi. Since the retouched versions of the original trilogy have come out, the old spirit of Anakin has been replaced by the younger version, which is represented in this set of Lego Minifigs. Rurisk, a Lego customizer extraordinaire, has created this one of a kind set of Custom Lego Star Wars Jedi Spirits: Anakin Skywalker, Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Qui Gon Jin minifigs. He has created a cool ghosting effect to replicate how the characters appeared in the movies and each come with a custom clear Light Saber.
Rurisk has a full clone battalion up for sale this week complete with its own Jedi with his Custom Lego Star Wars Waxer, Jet, Trapper, Flamethrower Trooper, and Ki Adi Mundi minifigs. This set would go great with your Lego Republic Gunship so head over to eBay and snatch these figures up!
We first got a look at Durge in the in the first Clone Wars Animated Series back in 2003 and boy was he a force to be reckoned with. FreshFromTheSewers has a scaled down version of this menace with his Custom Lego Star Wars Durge Minifig. The detailing on this figure is excellent as it bears the markings of a bounty hunter and the shoulders are augmented to give him a meaner, more substantial look. If you think the front looks great, head over to eBay and take a look at the detailing on the back of the figure. While you are there, place a bid on FreshFromTheSewer's Custom Lego Star Wars Durge Minifig.
Straight from the Star Wars The Clone Wars animated series comes Rurisk's Custom Lego Star Wars Waxer, Boil, and Numa minifigs. If you remember from the series, Waxer and Boil find an orphaned little girl on the planted they are liberating from the Separatists. They risk their lives to reunite little Numa with her family. You can recreate this scene with this awesome custom lot! Numa even comes with a little doll so head over to eBay and check out Rurisk's Custom Lego Star Wars Waxer, Boil, and Numa minifigs.
FriendLiang has one of the most memorable clone commanders from the Revenge of the Sith movie in small form with his Custom Lego Star Wars Commander Cody minifig. What I love about this figure is that he used a small piece from vehicle to mimic the holographic Order 66 directive from Darth Sidious. FriendLiang makes awesome custom Minifigs so be sure to check out his Custom Lego Star Wars Commander Cody minifig and others over on eBay!
goongalacowabunga84 has a great version of a very cool clone commander with his Custom Lego Star Wars Commander Gree minifig. I like the black base for the figure as it goes really nicely with the camouflage armor for Gree. The helmet is done very well and the choice of the shade of green is excellent! If you are looking to add a Clone Commander to your ranks, head over to eBay and check out this Custom Lego Star Wars Commander Gree minifig.
Need to build up your Clone Army? Check out these great Elite Clone Commando Custom Lego Star Wars Minifigs so that your troops have some great leaders!
FriendLiang has captured one of my favorite Clone Wars episodes with his Captain Rex Snow Assault Custom Lego Star Wars Minifig. When I first saw the Trespass episode, I was pleased to see that they had tied in some of the older Star Wars movies with an homage to the past. I like the Rex's helmet was crafted and the overall look of the figure captures how Captain Rex's character appeared in the episode. To place a bid on FriendLiang's Captain Rex Snow Assault Custom Lego Star Wars Minifig, head over to eBay!
The Venator Class Star Destroyers are one of my favorite large vehicles from the Star Wars series. Simple but massive in the design, these ships remind me of sea warfare as the ships must line up side by side to each other to deliver their crushing blows. 5striley5 has created this Custom Lego Star Wars Venator Class Star Destroyer that is over 2 feet long! He also made a cool video so check it out below:embedded by Embedded Video
If you want to add a really cool vehicle to your Lego Star Wars collection that is over 2 feet long and uses over 3,000 bricks, head over to eBay and check out this Custom Lego Star Wars Venator Class Star Destroyer.
Straight from the Clone Wars Animated Season 2 Rise of the Bounty Hunters comes FreshFromTheSewers' Custom Lego Clone Wars Cad Bane in Clone Trooper disguise. The Clones got hip to Bane's plans when they discovered a green ooze in their escape shuttle, which turned out to be Bane's blood. This figure is a great adaptation from the cartoon although some green ooze blood would have been a great addition. Like all of FreshFromTheSewers' custom Lego Star Wars figure, they are of tremendous quality and it looks like he strives to keep up with the latest Star Wars plots so that fans can add to their collection.
Commander Keller was one of my favorite clones from the Star Wars 3 3/4" line and I am happy to see him in minifig form. Friendliang has created this Custom Lego Star Wars Commander Keller minifig and it is awesome! The incorporation of the soft goods really makes this figure unique. The armor design looks great and helmet art looks proportional. Who doesn't need another Clone Commander to lead the troops? Head over to eBay and check out more photos of Custom Lego Star Wars Commander Keller minifig so you can see the cool art on the back of the cape.
Custom Minifig Creations (CMC) has made the infamous Bounty Hunter that was the mold for the Clone Army with his Custom Lego Star Wars Jango Fett minifig. I love the vibriant colors that CMC used on this figure. I especially like the addition of the metallic paint, which adds a great touch to the figure and sets it apart from the others. Let's head more about the figure from CMC himself:
"Custom made using LEGO bricks to make the figure, the helmet has been custom painted with a metallic silver color, then the blue detail has been painted on just like the real LEGO Minifig if not better! More vibrant color hand painted! He comes as seen, with a custom sticker on the torso with accurate design, and two pistols as well just like the original figure! Rare purple color arms and legs finish him off with a brown belt!"
There is a little over a day left for this auction so head over to eBay and check out Custom Minifig Creations' Custom Lego Star Wars Jango Fett minifig.
One can never get tired of army building and Rurisk has created an instant troop builder for you with his Custom Lego Star Wars Omega Squad minifigs. The Omega Squad was an elite clone commando unit, and was part of the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. The members of this unit were brought together after each of their respective squads were killed during action at Geonosis. Unlike most other commando squads, the Omegas wore specialized Night Ops Armor. You can own this elite group by heading over to eBay and bidding on Rurisk's Custom Lego Star Wars Omega Squad minifigs.
One of my favorite clone troopers from the Revenge of the Sith movie and Jebstuff has epitomized these troopers with his Custom Lego Star Wars Kayshyyyk Clone troopers. I like the deviation from the BARC trooper mold as we need more of these troopers in different types of fatigues. These figures would make great additions to your Clone Army! Jebstuff has more custom Lego Star Wars clones over on eBay so go check them out!
The episode, Trespass, was one of my favorite episodes in the Clone Wars animated series and FreshFromTheSewers has made a very cool Custom Lego Star Wars Captain Rex in snow fatigues as he appeared in that episode. He really did a great job translating how he appeared on screen to this figure with the extended helmet and overall design of the fatigues.
Rurisk has a cool twist on the Galactic Marine with his Custom Lego Star Wars Galactic Marine minifig. In Revenge of the Sith, the Galactic Marines helped take down Ki Adi Mundi on the Mygeeto Bridge but Rurisk has made more of a special ops marine that mirrors the Shadow Troopers. You can't really see it in the photo but this trooper has a fabric Kama, which helps soften the figure. If you are new to AFC, go check out the Custom Lego Star Wars section for more great minifigs and vehicles.
Darrens5150 has one of my favorite decos for a clone up this week with his Custom Scout Trooper Lego Star Wars minifig. The sculpt of the helmet reminds of my all time favorite Biker Scout style armor and I was very happy to see the evolution of the Biker Scout uniform in the Revenge of the Sith Movie. Darrens5150 has a bunch of custom Lego Star Wars minifigs up this week so be sure to check him out.
The Republic Gunships are one of my favorite modes of transportation as they have the ability to quickly move in and out of battle situations and provide much needed cover while the troops are being deployed or evacuated. SithClone116 has an interesting twist on the troop transport with his Custom Lego Star Wars Stealth Republic Gunship. Sometimes the clones need to do night missions and this Stealth Gunship is the right vehicle so that the clones can go unnoticed. I really like the black and grey brick color scheme and the bubble turrets add a great dimension to the vehicle. Head over to eBay and check out more photos of SithClone116's Custom Lego Star Wars Stealth Republic Gunship.
Darrens5150 has captured the likeness of the great General Kenobi in minifig form with his Custom Lego Star Wars Obi Wan Kenobi in his Clone Commander uniform. What sets this apart from other lego minifigs is that he custom casted the beard, which usually is one dimensional on a lego figure. There are a bunch of great Clone Wars custom legos and this figure would make an awesome addition to your collection. Head over to eBay and check it out!
Adding another clone to the chain of high command, Clone has developed a very versitile soldier with his Custom Lego Clone Wars Commander Zephir minifig. There are several reasons why this figure should be a mainstay in your clone army! First, who can pass up the opportunity to add a unique Clone Commander to your vast Clone Minifig Army. Second, this figure is very highly detailed and designed in such a way to maximize play and poseability. I love the paint aps and color scheme as well as the removable visor. If you want to see more detailed photos, head over to eBay and check out Clone's Custom Lego Clone Wars Commander Zephir minifig.
We first met Commander Bacara as he was commanding the stronghold on the Bridge at Mygeeto, where he carried out Order 66 and slain Jedi Ki Adi Mundi. Darrens5150 captures this high ranking clone with his Custom Lego Star Wars Commander Bacara minifig. This Lego customizer makes some of the highest quality minifigs around and here is some detail on what went into this great figure:
"This custom Star Wars mini-fig was constructed with custom water pull decals, (no stickers), a custom hand casted & painted Helmet w/antenna, Kama, Pauldron and made from all Lego parts. Also, he comes with a custom DC-15 blaster rifle. Figure is 2X-Clear coated for protection."
One of my favorite parts of this figure is the custom is the custom casted helmet as this gives Bacara his disctinctive look. Darrens5150 has other lego minifigs up for sale this week so head over to eBay and check out his Custom Lego Star Wars Commander Bacara minifig.
Doing what he does best, CloneArmyCustoms executes Order 66 and delivers for Lego fans all over with his Custom Lego Star Wars Commander Neyo minifig. Commander Neyo of the 91st Recon performs his Clone duty by killing Stass Allie which left speeder bike parts flying in an orange glow from the explosion. CloneArmyCustoms gives Lego fans a chance to relive this scene on a much smaller scale and I have to say that this Clone is very well done. Not only do the decals extend beyond the waste, but the attention to detail on the figure is why collectors will want to add this minifig to their collection. The helmet is also perfectly proportioned. Be sure to head over to eBay and check out more photos of CloneArmyCustoms' Custom Lego Star Wars Commander Neyo minifig.

It is election day in the United States so I thought I find a Custom Darth Sidious to let everyone know to go out and excercise your right to vote!
Broadside was a clone trooper pilot who fought in the Clone Wars under the command of Jedi General Anakin Skywalker. He served in Shadow Squadron and fought against the Malevolence in the Battle of the Kaliida Nebula. Rurisk outdoes himself again and creates this awesome Custom Lego Star Wars Broadside figure, which will look awesome in your Lego Clone Wars vehicles. There are only a few days left to nab this one for your collection so head over to eBay and bid on Rurisk's Custom Lego Star Wars Broadside figure!
Not too much time left to catch Rurisk's Custom Lego Star Wars Senate Security minifig! The deep red on the figure captures the animated Clone Wars representation perfectly. I am so happy to see customs from the Clone Wars animated series and want to see more! The great thing about new movies and new television series are that it creates a great canvas for customizers to give fans what they want!
A couple weeks, I wrote about a squad of Clones with the same deco and this figure would go great with that. There is only 22 hours left to catch Rurisk's Custom Lego Star Wars Senate Security minifig.
I think you might have picked up on this already but if you have not I am a huge fan of the Clone Wars so I am very excited to see customs from the animated series. Rurisk pays homage to this fallen clone with his Custom Shadow Squadron Matchstick Lego Star Wars Clone minifig. The Shadow Squadron has really cool markings on thier armor and Rurisk does a great job recreating the look on a small scale. If you are not familiar with Matchstick, here is more information on him courtesy of Wookieepedia.com:
"Matchstick's Y-wing grazed a nebray manta, which caused engine failure. After he entered the Battle of theKaliida Nebula, Malevolence's ion cannon fired at him. While attempting to maneuver out of the path of damage his engine gave out and exploded in front of Tag, killing Matchstick and his Radio Intercept Officer, and Tag and his RIO as well. Though he wasn't the only fatality at the Battle of Kaliida, his was the most unexpected and eventful, as he was an expertly trained commander and key member. Aside from Shadow Squadron, Ahsoka Tano was also affected from his tragic death. He did not die in vain however, because his squad managed to destroy the Malevolence's primary weapons and save 60,000 wounded clones"
Head over to eBay and check out more photos of Rurisk's Custom Matchstick minifig!
I don't know why it took my so long to do this but I just added a Custom Lego Star Wars section to the website where you can view all of the eBay listings related to the mini world of Star Wars Lego. Ever wonder how Captain Rex gets around when he is trying to inspire his troops to defeat General Grievous and his Separatist Droid Army? GoodSchmoe has an idea with his Custom Lego Star Wars Captain Rex Minifig and Speederbike concept. To be more aerodynamic, Captain Rex has left his Pauldron at home and is ready for some streamlined action. My favorite vehicles in the Star Wars universe have been the Speeder Bikes. I remember when I was 8 and watched Return of the Jedi (the first Star Wars Movie I can actually remember watching in theater) and seeing the Speeder Bike chase and thinking that was the coolest thing. I could imagine this Speeder Bike working in both land and space as Captain Rex hops back and forth between Republic Attack Cruisers. If you are interested in owning this unique Clone Wars custom, head over to eBay and bid on GoodSchmoe's Custom Lego Star Wars Captain Rex Minifig and Speederbike.
I do have to give credit to the Lego Star Wars customizers for coming up with original ideas that are very well executed using a very small canvas to work with and jv2402's Custom Lego Star Wars Mandalorian Assault Warrior is no exception. This figure looks like a mash up between Jango and Boba Fett on steroids. First, the helmet is a unique design and is painted to resemble Jango Fett's armor. He has given this minifig extra shoulder protection that flows very nicely into the jetpack. The kama is a very nice touch and helps soften up the figure. To see more photos of jv2402's Custom Lego Star Wars Mandalorian Assault Warrior minifig, head over to eBay!
Commander Bly was only in Revenge of the Sith for a brief moment but the effects were long lasting and Rurisk has captured his essence in minifig form with his Custom Lego Star Wars figure. He nailed the yellows and browns and use of soft goods on the minifig is a nice touch. This figure was made with made with custom decals, painted modified helmet with movable and removable visor, pauldron, kama and a custom blaster. Commaner Bly is one of my favorite clones and I hope to see more of him in the new Star Wars Clone Wars Animated Series (they already had Commander Thire in the first episode so there is hope!). If you want to own this (or other great figures from Rurisk, head over to eBay and bid on his Custom Lego Star Wars Commander Bly minifig.
One of my favorite Clones from Star Was Attack of the Clones (and the new Clone Wars Animated Movie) are the Clone Pilots and Darrens5150 pays a very nice homage to them with his Custom Clone Pilot Lego Star Wars figure. I love the helmet design of the Clone pilots and they were the first Clones that Star Wars fans were introduced to where they looked different than the standard Clone uniform. Darrens5150 did an excellent job designing the helmet, which gives this clone its distinct look. The breather tubes fit in nicely with the scale of the minifigs and the rest of the Star Wars Lego universe. To own this awesome Custom Clone Pilot Lego Star Wars figure, head over to eBay!
From the 9th Assault Squadron on Kashyyyk comes Rurisk's Custom Lego Star Wars Kashyyyk Trooper minifig. It was great to see the evolution of the Biker Scouts from Return of Jedi surface in Revenge of the Sith as BARC Troopers and Kashyyyk Troopers. The Scout Troopers are some of my favorite figures and it is great to see the Lego minifig versions. With customs decals and a painted helmet, Rurisk's Custom Lego Star Wars Kashyyyk Trooper minifig will be a great addition to your Lego Star Wars minifig collection.
Specializing in giving Lego Star Wars fans what they want, Joe's Custom Creations has designed and modified the Clone Wars Aerial STAP vehicles and also made some great improvements to the Battle Droids who pilot them. Fans were first introduced to the STAP in Star Wars Episode 1, The Phantom Menace, but they made a very cool appearance in the latest Clone Wars Animated Movie in the battle of Teth. Joe goes on to explain his modifications and features of these cool Droid vehicles:
- Removable Missiles for destroying clone units
- Significant design improvements over lego factory versions including a stand for the droid or driver to stand on
- Stand alone capability for added realism, this set can be displayed with or without the clear stand (see pictures)
- Includes 2 Battledroid figures that have been modified to carry their blasters on backpacks (with custom antennas) and hold their custom blasters to be able to "shoot at the hip" (See Pictures)
To buy the Aerial STAP, head over to eBay!
Christo ranks very high on my list as one of the best Lego customizers out there and his Custom Lego Star Wars Aayla Secura figure is one of the reasons why I think he is great! There unique aspect about his customs is that he does not use any decals, so it is just like getting a figure straight from the factory at LEGO. His designs cater to what fans want and need to build their Lego Star Wars collection. To check out more pictures, head over to eBay and check out Christo's Custom Lego Star Wars Aayla Secura minifig.
One of my favorite new Star Wars figures is the Scuba Trooper and I am happy to see Rurisk giving the Star Wars Lego fans a version with his Custom Lego Star Wars Scuba Trooper minifig. Head over to eBay and check out Rurisk's Custom Lego Star Wars Scuba Trooper minifig today!
One of my favorite Star Wars figures from the newer movies are the Kashyyyk Clone Troopers and Darrens5150 has done an excellent job paying homage to them with his Custom Kashyyyk Clone Trooper Lego Star Wars minifig. The Biker Scouts from the Return of the Jedi movie were my favorite so in keeping with the same theme, the Kashyyyk Troopers are the evolution of the Scout Troopers in a cool camo. Darrens5150 has done a great job detailing the camo on the figure and this would make a great addition to your Lego Clone army. The custom blaster is also a cool addition. To read more about this Custom Kashyyyk Clone Trooper Lego Star Wars minifig, head over to eBay!
When I first came across Christo's Custom Lego Star Wars Shaak Ti minifig, I thought this was produce by LEGO! There are no decals on this figure, which is special since many Custom Star Wars Lego minifig customizers use decals to create their figures. The color of the pants reminds me of the color of Obi Wan's Jedi outfit from 1978 and Christo did an excellent job creating Shaak Ti's hair. Add a glow in the dark lightsaberand you have one awesome minifig to add to your Custom Lego Star Wars collection. To see more pictures, head over to eBay and check out Christ's Custom Lego Star Wars Shaak Ti minifig or check out the other Custom Lego Star Wars minifigs.
darrens5150 does an excellent job creating the version of C-3PO that appears in the Star Wars Phantom Menace movie with his Custom Lego Star Wars C-3PO minifig. This minifig depicts C-3PO before he received his gold coverings and the detailing that darrens5150 uses a mix of custom paint aps and decals. The wiring on th minifigis done very well and the paint aps on the head compliment the custom decals very nicely. Add this awesome Custom Lego Star Wars C-3PO minifig to your Custom Lego Star Wars collection today!
It is great to see customizers filling gaps in toy lines with their own creativity and Christo has done this with his Custom Lego Star Wars Tauntaun. He got the idea from the Star Wars Lego video game and here it is in living color. The scale is very done and fits in nicely with the minifigs. After you are done viewing Christo's Custom Lego Star Wars Tauntaun, check out more Custom Lego Star Wars figures on eBay!
Please Note: Items are removed from eBay databases every 90 days so if the item is gone, check out more Custom Lego Star Wars figures.
One of my favorite scenes in Star Wars Revenge of the Sith is when the clones descend on to Utupau and a gigantic battle ensues. Rurisk has captured the leader who took the troops into battle with his Custom Lego Star Wars Commander Cody minifig. What is cool about this custom is that (1) now you have a commander for your gaggle of custom Utupah Clone Troopers and (2) the visor on Commander Cody's head is removable so you can display him in a different way. The back is designed to mirror the gear that Commander Cody sports during the film.
Rurisk's Custom Lego Star Wars Commander Cody is available for bids on eBay so go check it out.
"This is a huge all-Lego custom model of General Grievous’ ship The Invisible Hand, as seen at the start of Star Wars Episode 3 Revenge of the Sith. This is the biggest custom model I have ever made, the model consists of 1128 parts, most are new with some used but in good condition. I have tried hard to build the model to the correct proportions and have added a lot of detail. It is approximately 70cm long (27.5 inches) (that’s the same length as Lego’s Blockade Runner), 14cm wide (5.5 inches), and 36cm tall (14 inches) when stood on the stands. Due to its size, I have included a CD containing over 200 categorised digital photos, detailing all aspects of the ship’s construction inside and out. This will help in restoring any pieces that have come off during transit, and should enable you to re-build the entire model should you wish to build other models from it, and then re-build it in the future. I have designed the ship to pull apart in the middle at about the point where the ship breaks in two in the movie (remember, the front half crash lands on Coruscant)."
Still A Brick Ahead brings us several Custom Lego Star Wars mini figs this week. With amazing detail, he has created a couple figures that I would like to spotlight today!
One of the aspects that makes this custom mini fig stand out is the paint aps on the helmet. The greens and silvers are right on and very closely resemble the Commander Gree found in the Star Wars Revenge of the Sith movie. The armor is is also custom made and as Still A Brick Ahead states in his auction, "the armour is made with custom decals and the helmet is painted with the green and silver pattern. Comes with a custom blaster." This would make a great addition to anyone's custom lego mini fig collection and clone army! What is a Kashyyyk army without a commander? Commander Gree, designation 1004, led the Elite Corps stationed on Kashyyyk during the Clone Wars. He served under General Yoda, commanding troops that employed specialized equipment for combat in the jungle environment. Gree himself wore camouflaged armor to better blend into the verdant surroundings.
Another mini fig to highlight is his custom Mandalorian Warrior. This one definately looks like it would be part of a mercanary group Jango Fett is heading up. As the auction states, the Mandalorian Warrior comes with custom armor decals and matching painted helmet with jetpack and a custom. For those not familiar with Mandalorians (called Mando'ade in Mando'a, meaning "children of Mandalore"), they were a warlike, nomadic group of clan-based people consisting of members from multiple species. Often, they served as mercenaries. In later years Mandalorian Warriors wore very distinctive battle helmets with T-shaped visors that covered the entirety of their faces, which would provide inspiration for the helmets of the clone troopers. These helmets would eventually become strongly associated with the Mandalorian people (source: Wookipedia).
The introduction of the Republic Gunships to Hasbro's lineup of vehicles was a welcome addition! The first time I saw one of these bad boys was on the silver screen and Attack of the Clones finally lived up to its name as thousands of Clones decended onto Geonosis to battle the Separatist forces and rescue the Jedi. The databank over at starwars.com succintly lays out the details of these massive ships:
"Rugged, combat-equipped repulsorcraft, Republic attack gunships rained down blistering barrages of laser and rocket retribution against the droid forces of the Separatists. Each winged gunship was covered in weapons, offering air-to-ground and air-to-air support as well as serving as an infantry transport.
The front of the gunship features hunchback-style cockpit bubbles, wherein the gunship pilot and copilot / gunner sit in single file. Chin-mounted on the craft are a pair of laser cannon turrets. On the gunship's dorsal surface are its primary armaments, two massive rocket launchers fed by a rear-mounted missile belts. The vessel's splayed wings have a pair of automated bubble-turrets, with composite-beam laser weaponry. A second pair of bubble-turret cannons extends on articulated arms from the troop cabin, and are gunner-operated by clone troopers encased within the armored spheres. Air-to-air rockets are slung on the ventral surface of each wing. Rounding out the gunship's armaments is a single tail-cannon that provides covering fire for troops and small vehicles leaving the gunship. ." - source: starwars.com
As far as the toy representation that Hasbro produced to compliment the toy line for Attack of the Clones, the gunships suffered from one serious flaw - missing bubble turrets. As described above, the cockpit turrets (as seen in the movie representation below) sported these massive turrets, very reminiscent of the B-17 bubble turrets on the under bellies of the bombers in World War 2.
The eBay seller, vader9900, created a simple fix for Hasbro's oversight and lack of attention to detail. He created custom bubble turrets for the gunships (as seen below):
A very nice addition to the Gunship and fans of these vehicles had an opportunity to bid on one of these customs in an eBay auction that ended September 9th. Vader9900's creation nabbed him $204 on eBay! Nicely done! If you are impressed with his work, you can find links to other custom star wars figures and vehicles that are being sold on eBay.
