Frenzy Rumble really knows how to create towering works of art and his latest Custom Transformers Piranacon is no exception. This figure, which happened to be a commission but the buyer could not follow through with his end of the deal, stands a towering 16" tall and has two bright yellow LED's for eyes. That really makes these large figures one of a kind are the attention to detail and creativity that customizers pour into every figure. For example, the lines and edginess of this custom give it rather harsh and stealth like appearance. Paying homage to the original G1 color scheme, Frenzy Rumble did an amazing job incorporating all of the pastel colors from the 80's figure we grew up with. Being a huge fan of muscle cars myself, this Custom Transformers Alternators Shockwave designed to look like a 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda caught my eye for several reasons. First, the concept itself is outstanding. Typically you see the Alternator line featuring more up to date cars but this Shockwave is a twist to that line and a welcome addition! The choice of muscle car could not have been more perfect. The Plymouth 'Cuda is a heavy duty car with lots of bulk and mass, kind of like how the 1980's Shockwave was created to look like a massive bulky gun.
Second, the colors and the attention to detail on this custom are second to none. The paint has a showroom shine and the purple and black play nicely off each other. Lastly, the way this car was converted will make your head spin. If you can believe it, this figure started off as a Mazda RX-8 from the 2004 Alternators line. To read how this car was converted, head over to eBay and check it out!
I love when universe collide and Gill Customs has created an amazing Custom Cyclonus GI Joe Transformers Crossover made from a Conquest X-30. Painted in the classic purple and silver colors, the base vehicle makes a great start for a G1 seeker jet. In addition to the killer paint app, Cyclonus has lights in the cockpit, rear thrusters, and engines. The cockpit canopy even sports the orange color that was found on the original G1 Cyclonus figure. There have been many unique GI Joe Transformers crossover customs made over the years and I wish customizers would make more because I love both toy lines and it is great when they are blended together. Stronox Customs knows how to treat a ruler right and his Custom Cobra Serpentor figure with Thrown pays a killer homage to the ultimate Cobra leader. Both the thrown and figure have stunning detail, especially for a 4 inch figure. Stronox has given Serpentor many different looks and even gives you a hooded version, which pays respect to the original Cobra Commander figure. The cape is also wired which is a very cool addition and gives the figure an added sense of versatility and poseability. The thrown is painted almost in an Aztec fashion with 3 striking cobra heads that give the thrown a very royal feeling. The flames are a very nice touch and add to the mystique of the figure. To place a bid on this great piece of work, head over to eBay and check out Stronox's Custom Serpentor figure and Thrown!
